The One Where It Poured Rain

Many vendors can relate, when the corona coaster began, panic ensued. Events were dropping like flies. What will we do? How will we make ends meet? What about our poor brides and grooms! Then I got the call from Mackenzie; “Please don’t worry, we’re not going to cancel on you”. My eyes get teary just thinking about it.

I should have known that Matt and Mackenzie were tough, Mackenzie is health and wellness instructor for goodness sake, I was about to find out just how tough they were! As the days passed and their wedding got closer I pictured a running back (bear with me true football fans). Every time something tried to knock them off course, they pivoted! Venue changes? No problem. Bridesmaids can’t travel? We’ll make it work. Corona scares days before the wedding? We’ll deal with it when it gets here. They’ve taken Corona-coaster to a whole new meaning!

All their hard work and perseverance, paid off. They threw the intimate backyard wedding of any pinterest inspired dream! They called their closest friends and family and celebrated their marriage at the place their family has flourished, their home.

Matt & Mackenzie, thank you so much for inviting me into such a special time in your lives and trusting me to document it. You two have been truly amazing. I know any couple who has the ability to navigate the kind of pressure that comes with planning a wedding in 2020 will be able to handle anything.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Bejes!!
