There is beauty in simplicity. These words rang in my ears as I sat mountain top on a beautiful fall day in Alaska, a sight that needed to be shared. Beaming with pride for where I am blessed to live, I began to plan. Watching the colors of the scenery dancing in the breeze a soft, romantic peach hue in fiery flames of reds and oranges caught my eye immediately. What better way to bring an elegance to the “the last frontier” than to look beyond the obvious and pull from the smallest detail. Giorgio Armani once said “To create something exceptional, your mindset must be focused on the smallest details.”
Despite the final weeks of wedding season being in full swing, I collected a group of outstanding boss babes and one outstanding gentleman to make the vision a reality. As the planning process rolled on we were all united in one theme, peaches. All the makings of my ideal bride began to emerge from the details. A Simple table scape, a soft color pallet, a romantic gown that dazzled in the sunlight, an elegant venue with a breathtaking view. Simple, Soft, Romantic, Elegant, Breathtaking.
So few people get to experience “The last frontier”. It never gets old watching Brides & Grooms experience the beauty of the tundra – and it never gets old photographing in it. The ability to capture this beauty on the biggest day of their lives is a blessing not everyone will know but hopefully a gift I will be able to continue to share.
