Dear Austyn & Ryan,

Today is your “would be wedding day”. I am so sorry that your wedding plans were affected (please lord let that be the right e/affected). In such a wild world you’ve taken the Corona-coaster head on and done it with such good attitudes! You proved that with the photo you chose for your “Change the date”.

This is just the beginning of many situations you will have to navigate together, and you have proven that you can do it together. Years from now you’ll be able to tell the story to your kids and grandkids of how you navigated wedding planning through a pandemic!

Tonight I hope you pop open another bottle of champagne and take some time away from wedding planning and reminisce on how you got here, and talk about the exciting times ahead. I can’t wait to be with you guys on your wedding day saying “Can you believe it’s already been a year?”!
