𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙩. I cannot stress this saying enough when it comes to planning your wedding. Especially in these times of uncertainty! People will tell you there are things you just must have at your wedding, but it’s not true. This blog is going to help you consider some aspects of planning a wedding and help you decide whats best for you.
1. Choose what’s important to you
When I was planning my wedding, my now husband and I agreed we weren’t super concerned with centerpieces. So we brainstormed a little and decided, why not put a cake on every table? To. This. Day. That is one of my favorite details from my wedding! We did unique cake stands and a beautiful cake on every table! If there’s something you’re not excited about, save that money!! Put your hard earned money on something you are excited about! Spend a little more on your gown, or your flowers, something you’ve been dreaming about for your wedding for years!!
2. Choose a smaller venue!
Choosing a smaller venue will encourage you to keep things more intimate because you just simply don’t have the room! A bigger venue means a bigger guest list, a bigger catering bill, and you feel the need to fill the space with more things! If you can find a venue that works for both your ceremony and your reception! When you have to pay for just one space instead of two, you save! You save; money, time, and frustrations!
3. Choose vendors and coordinators that specialize in small weddings!
The best thing you can have with you on your big day is a wedding day is a dream team! When you delegate to your loved ones, that means they’re spending more time “directing traffic” than enjoying this moment with you! Using experienced professionals means you’ll have access to their knowledge and you will benefit from their expertise. Having a team that you trust is the only way to you’ll be able to relax and enjoy your wedding day!
Discover what’s important to you, and do it well! Covid may be able to add a little bit of stress, or cause you change your date, maybe even limit your guest list. But, What it cannot do is steal the joy of one of the biggest moments in your life!
