Shaynah and Jason’s story is a classic. There is no more beautiful way to start a lifelong, loving relationship then when it stems from an unbreakable friendship. They supported each other through life’s big challenges, the growing pains that come with adulthood, and even other heartbreaks. Finally they turned to each other, a person that had been right under their nose the entire time. The love of their lives.
I first met with Shaynah and Jason in a coffee shop for their initial bridal consultation. I chose my usual table by the window, which in January was a big mistake. I was freezing. We sat and chatted about their story, their lives, their wedding. Their connection was undeniable. There’s no question how Shaynah’s beautifully beaming smile drew Jason in like a magnet. It’s infectious. It’s speaks leaps and bounds for Shaynah to see past the man-bunphase and see the unbelievably good heart that lay beneath. I saw immediately that each one loved the other more than a person can articulate. Suddenly, the room wasn’t so chilly anymore.
Shaynah and Jason, I want to thank you for loving each other the way that you do. It’s inspiring! A wedding is a beautiful way to celebrate your marriage. That said, you two know the truth behind it. This is only the beginning. Your wedding was not the best part, but the life you build from here forward will be the best part. Thank you for welcoming me into your story for a brief moment and allowing me to preserve this memory for you and your future family.
