Being a “Type A” personality I love the first of the year. To me, January is a huge sigh of relief and it’s not just because I get to toss my old scribbled in planner and pick up a crisp, clean, fresh new one (although that’s not exactly a negative either). I live for a fresh start.
I’m not one for “New Year’s Resolutions”, I feel they’re too extremely. A resolutions imply there’s no going back and if you do you’re a failure. If we’re being honest we all have goals we don’t meet, and that’s okay. I prefer to set long term goals and working towards it constantly. Instead of a diet – work on healthy habits. Instead of cutting things out completely – fill you time with the more important things.
I may not have met every single goal I had in 2021, but all things considered I had a pretty awesome year. My husband and I made the goal of simplifying our finances and work down any debts we had and we’re on a great track (Thank you Dave Ramsey)! I managed to maintain a regular routine of exercise for the entire year. We also worked hard at setting a balance between work and personal life. That one still needs some work, but I think that is true for everyone.
I’d like to end this recap with a thank you to all our friends and family that have supported us through 2021. We are so blessed to have so much love and support surrounding us. And a huge thank you to all my beautiful clients who come back year after year, and milestone after milestone. There aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am for you. I can’t wait to see what happens in 2022!
