The variety that Alaska offers in terms of location is almost shocking. Everything from mountains, to oceans, beaches to fields, metropolitan (small as that one may be) to wilderness. The sky is literally the limit! It’s no surprise that the favorite for most is the epic mountain views that are so uniquely Alaskan. When it comes to those mountain views, it doesn’t get any better than the Arctic Valley Lodge. Nestled in the Chugach range, the Alpenglow lodge offers the wilds of Alaska with all of the amenities of city life and as an added bonus you have the option of taking the chairlift all the way to the mountain tops!
When Ryan and Sarah reached out, capturing those epic views was obviously on the top of their must have list. While the awe-inspiring scene is something special, what made their wedding day truly epic is their love for one another. It wasn’t simply the marriage of two beautiful people, it was the blending of two wonderful families – represented by a touching Paebaek ceremony the day before. Some of the most beautiful love stories aren’t found by just two people. It’s inherited from the generation that came before. Sarah and Ryan showed so much love and respect for the generation that molded them throughout their entire wedding weekend. It was something really special to witness.
Sarah and Ryan, Thank you so much for trusting me to captured the next chapter in your families’ story. It was an honor to get to be a small part of your wedding day and it was so much fun! When it comes to weddings, people often talk about two halves of one whole but that’s is not what I see when I look at you. You weren’t incomplete pieces before you met one another. But what you are is better, stronger, and happier together. You aren’t two halves but two parts of a team. What I see is two strong, confident, loving people who get up every day and choose to love one another.
