Nik & Megan’s Eklutna Lake Engagement Session

One of the greatest honors in being a photographer is getting to photograph loved ones. The “Petes” and the “Barts” have had more card parties, camping trips, barbecues, and vacations than a person can keep count of. It’s the kind of friendship where invitations aren’t needed, they’re implicit. The kind of friendship where in times of distress, there is an abundance of shoulders to lean on. The kind of friendship where the word “friendship” doesn’t even cover it. They’re family. Our households are less like friends are more like family. The Bible says “But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” and we’ve found that to be completely true through the Petersens.

Nik is like a younger brother to me. So much so, I can hear him say “it’s only a year” even as I write this, but younger non the less! As an honorary older sister, I feel comfortable speaking for both families when I say BRAVO ON SNAGGING MEGAN! Megan is sweet, quick-witted, mature, an absolute joy to be around. It speaks volumes about the kind of man who knows a gem like Megan when he has it. The way Nik looks at Megan tells me everything I need to know about their relationship.

Nik and Megan, thank you so much for trusting me with such an important season of your life. I had so much fun with you at your engagement session, you guys rocked it! I am thrilled to get to document the next chapter in your life story. There aren’t enough words in the dictionary to express my happiness for the two of you. All there is left to say is, Megan – Welcome to the family!!
