Big Lake, Alaska holds a very special place in my heart. Growing up we spent many summer days at my grandpas cabin, swimming, painting piggie banks, and roasting marshmallows. As you’d imagine I was thrilled to hear that Raeanna and Jordan had chosen the beautiful sunset view resort in Big Lake for their wedding.

He turns to face away, the door creeks, and the tapping of Jessica’s heels as she enters the room. His heart rate increases, his hands start to shake, the anticipation is almost unbearable.

Genesis chapter 2 verse 20 describes a spouse as a complement and I just can’t think of a better way to describe Nik and Megan. They complement each other, like two pieces of a puzzle AND THEY LOVE PUZZLES.

There are so many different ways to plan a wedding. Throughout the pandemic I’ve seen it all. From the micro-wedding to the large and in charge. What never ceases to amaze me is, regardless of how the event actually takes places, my couples absolutely beam on the day of their weddings.

I have truly only known these wonderful people as the beautiful little family they are. Mom, Dad, and sweet baby girl. I also cannot imagine it any other way. Their wedding day was filled with such heartwarming moments. Between Alexis putting on Blairs matching pearls to instead of a first dance, they shared a dance as a family.

Spring of 2017 I had recently quit my job as a medical assistant after a long stint of some serious burnout. I was looking for something comfortable and familiar to fill my days while I decided wether or not I was going to jump into photography full time. So I turned back to coffee.
